Mixing it up with reclaimed wood
Reclaimed wood as a material for furniture and home interiors has been a big trend for the past few years. As people become more and more environmentally conscious, as well as interested in incorporating natural elements into their homes, we’re finding that many of our clients are requesting that reclaimed wood furniture be a part of their homes. The most common request? A reclaimed wood dining table. In the right space, a reclaimed wood dining table can look great. But how do you avoid a dining room that looks too much like a page from the Restoration Hardware catalog? You’ve got to mix it up! Below we’re showing you three different ways to use a reclaimed wood dining table, one of which we’re using for a project downtown!

Whether you live in a traditional old house or a sleek modern apartment, there are lots of ways to make a reclaimed wood table work for your space. One of the most important things to keep in mind in order to achieve a look that feels layered and unique is to remember to mix materials. What makes each of the combinations below interesting is that they pair wood with metal with glass with leather, etc.
