Park Avenue Apartment

For a couple with three small children living in a storied Park Avenue building it was all about creating a classic space that still felt young. Fine French, Italian, and English antiques mixed with the clients' contemporary art collection keep the common spaces fresh and youthful. A soft blue strie on the master bedroom walls provides the perfect backdrop for a luxurious canopy bed in a painterly floral with subtle hints of deep purple and lime green. Thoughtful details - custom paisley stenciling on the library’s burlap walls, faux finishing on library doors made to look like they were found in Sweden – give a sense of depth and story to each room. A smokey-rose pink Venini chandelier and matching sconces in the dining room (heirlooms the client’s grandfather brought back from Italy after the war) make the space feel like home.
