Our Lenox Hill Table Setting

A couple of weeks ago we shared a few different ideas for a table setting we were designing for the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Spring Gala (click here to see that post). It was pretty unanimous that look 3, “1920’s Garden Party” was your top pick (and it was ours, too) so we continued to build on this idea for the next few weeks. The basis of our table was one of our all-time favorite document prints by Schumacher called Les Fougeres (b) below. Here’s a little inspiration board we created when we were first conceptualizing our table design: Lenox-Hill-Gala3Below, 1920’s garden party come to life! We wanted to imbue our table with a sort of casual elegance that anyone could create at home.Table SettingWe kept the color scheme very true to the colors in the fabric of our table skirt, wanting the table to read green, fresh and woodsy. The organic-feeling placemats and napkins, as well as the wonderful napkin rings were generously donated by Kim Seybert. Votives by the amazing Glassbabyphoto-184In order to give our table a little height and drama, we filled three large, brown and white Chinese containers with white cherry blossoms (no florist needed!). photo-185As a gift to our table’s guests, we left a copy of our book on each chair. photo-183Here we are the night of the event (cocktail in hand!) standing in front of our table after a long day of set-up. photo-182HUGE Thank You to F. Schumacher & Co. for donating their fabulous fern fabric for this wonderful cause. And thank you to the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House for including us in your very special evening! We felt honored to be a part of such an incredible night.
