We helped turn a grand, historic house in Rye, New York into a luxurious weekend retreat for a Manhattan family. In the airy and bright conservatory, a perfect space for the young family to gather and play board games, we designed a pair of super deep cozy club chairs slipcovered in an old school floral chintz. A contemporary photograph in the living room inspired the room’s colors: deep mossy greens mixed with sandy taupes, light blues and a pop of pink. In the master bedroom a gentle blue and white fabric (the client’s favorite) was used to create a soothing space perfect for a formal country home.
