Carnegie Hill Apartment
Though this classic Upper East Side six apartment was designed for empty nesters from out of town to enjoy, in the end it became a busy (and happy) gathering place for their extended family and friends). For the main living spaces we wanted to create a sense of comfort that didn’t feel predictable. Vibrant pops of color - turquoise glass lamps, Chinoiserie-red stools, bright stacks of paperback books - play nicely against a serene palate of beiges, caramels and browns. The exotic, hand-painted Zuber wall covering in the foyer sets the tone for this unconventional yet classic take on Upper East Side style.
